Spanning 238 acres, Frank Liske Park holds a rich history as a former working farm for the Stonewall Jackson Training School, now transformed into a vibrant recreational space for the community. The park features a 10-acre lake ideal for fishing and paddle boating, making it a perfect spot for a tranquil afternoon on the water.

Picnic shelters, horseshoe pits, volleyball courts, playgrounds, and pickleball courts cater to those seeking outdoor recreation and relaxation. Wander through the park’s walking trails, discover the diverse flora and fauna along the nature trail, or simply soak in the peaceful ambiance of the surroundings.

Fishing and Boating

The park’s sports facilities cater to both casual players and sports enthusiasts alike. The softball and soccer complexes host league play and various tournaments throughout the year.

Frank Liske Park is also home to Rotary Harmony Park, a musical playground created in partnership with the Rotary Club of Cabarrus County. The park is comprised of six large Freenotes outdoor musical instruments for music lovers of all ages. The park is designed to be accessible for all and includes benches for relaxing while little ones play.

Events and Gatherings

The newly renovated Barn at Frank Liske Park provides a distinctive venue for hosting events, gatherings, and celebrations. With its spacious rental areas, modern amenities such as kitchens on both floors, air conditioning, private bathrooms, and picturesque surroundings, the Barn is the perfect setting for weddings, reunions, and community events that will be remembered for years to come. The Barn also serves as the home base for the eight-week summer day camp, which hosts about 650 campers each year. Other activities include sports camps, nature camps and classes, tennis classes, nature workshops, road races, and various community events.

A new park office and mini-golf course are both under construction and should be completed sometime this summer. There will also be new ADA accessibility and seating in the amphitheater.
