Honoring Vietnam Veterans: 50th Commemoration Memorial Service

On March 29, 2025, the community is invited to a special ceremony honoring Vietnam War veterans on National Vietnam War Veterans Day. Hosted by the Daughters of the American Revolution Cabarrus Black Boys Chapter, Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 909, and Cabarrus Veterans Coalition, this event will recognize the service and sacrifice of those who served during the Vietnam War.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War, making this commemoration especially significant. It will also be the final time that Concord and Cabarrus County will host a service honoring Vietnam War veterans, making it a momentous and historic gathering for the community.

The memorial service will include a wreath-laying ceremony and a special Vietnam Veteran Lapel Pin presentation, a meaningful gesture of gratitude from the Department of Defense. All Vietnam veterans, their families, and members of the community are encouraged to attend and take part in this important moment of remembrance.
