📚 Acclaimed NC Novelist Coming to Concord

Goldberry Books has teamed up with Cabarrus Brewing Co to host an evening with award-winning NC author David Joy on August 26th from 6:30-8:30pm.

Joy is a Southern Appalachian native who resides in Jackson County. A North Carolina writer through and through, his novels straddle the line between literary fiction and gripping crime tales. Joy’s distinguished works include the Edgar Award-nominated Where All Light Tends To Go, The Weight Of This World, The Line That Held Us, and When These Mountains Burn.

  • His novel Where All Light Tends to Go was made into the film Devil’s Peak in 2023 directed by Ben Young and starring Billy Bob Thornton and Robin Wright.

The event will be an exciting opportunity to get up close and personal with the author. Attendees will have the chance to hear Joy’s captivating storytelling, engage in a Q&A session, get their books signed, and learn about his latest novel, Those We Thought We Knew.
