Cabarrus Brewing Company to Host Inaugural CabCo Summer Movie Night

 |

Cabarrus County residents are in for a treat this summer as the first-ever CabCo Summer Movie Night takes place on July 8th at Cabarrus Brewing Company. With free admission, games, snacks, and the featured movie “The Sandlot,” this event aims to bring families and friends together for a memorable summer evening.

  • The pre-show activities, starting at 7 pm, will set the stage for an unforgettable evening. Attendees can enjoy family-friendly music from the 80s and 90s, play retro video games, and indulge in popcorn and Kona Ice before the movie begins.

This event is made possible through a collaboration between the organizer, Emory Rice, Aurora Star Lit Cinema, and Cabarrus Brewing Company. Emory, inspired by his family’s tradition of hosting gatherings, envisioned an event where people could come together to enjoy themselves, relax, and have fun, “I grew up with a family who was constantly throwing cookouts, block parties, and game nights and always inviting neighbors over, never asking for a dime, just wanting people to enjoy themselves.”

Nine local small businesses have generously agreed to sponsor CabCo Summer Movie Night:

  • Norman Boys Lawn Care
  • Beauty by Mel
  • Blossom LKN
  • Ortiz Painting
  • D&P Cleaning Solutions
  • Candid Dreamer Photos
  • Kelly Panaro, Mortgage Planner
  • Flourish Wealth
  • Farmstead 7
  • Ricehouse Rhymes

Emory reached out to Cabarrus Brewing Company to host the event – a place that has become a known gathering spot for friends and families throughout Cabarrus County. After speaking with Stacey Griffin, one of the co-owners, it was obvious that CBC was the perfect location for CabCo Summer Movie Night.

Emory envisions the CabCo Summer Movie Night becoming a series of events, showcasing season-specific movies throughout the year. Exciting plans are already underway for a potential late-summer event involving some dinosaur-themed surprises.
