Owner Georgia Abernathy has created an ideal shopping experience for mothers and daughters alike. Their carefully curated collection guarantees you’ll find the perfect outfit. The boutique’s interior is beautiful and welcoming, with trendy and chic decor that creates a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. From dresses, tops, and bottoms to jewelry, purses, and hats, they have it all!

Getting Started and Weathering the Pandemic
Georgia opened the doors to Simply Pleasant Boutique in May 2018. With a keen eye for potential, she noticed the construction of 73 & Main and envisioned the growth of the downtown area. After a year, she found the perfect space on Main Street. Prior to moving in, she shared a space with Ruffled & Rugged Children’s Boutique.
Just one month prior to opening her new location (right next to 73 & Main), the pandemic created many unexpected challenges. Georgia said that the shutdown was incredibly difficult on her business, but that Dr. Dobson and Townsquare Property Management were exceptionally supportive of all the businesses downtown. “They recognized the potential of these businesses and were determined to help them succeed, doing all they could to provide assistance to each individual business.”
💪 Empowering Women Entrepreneurs 💼
Georgia attributes the success of Simply Pleasant Boutique to the support she’s received from an incredible network of people, particularly inspiring female entrepreneurs. From her realtor, who helped secure the Mount Pleasant location, to Sheri at Ruffled & Rugged and the wonderful ladies at Anne’s Boutique in Concord, Georgia has been surrounded by strong female role models. The camaraderie and support among these women in business are truly remarkable. Together, they prove that when women come together, they can achieve amazing things. 👭👩💼👭
- Simply Pleasant Boutique is thrilled to be part of the vibrant community of Main Street in Mount Pleasant. From the new theater renovations to the increased retail space, Georgia can see the town transforming into a trifecta of food, entertainment, and shopping. “It’s an amazing town,” she says. “We are Main Street, USA!” Her favorite time of the year is Christmas – with big bands playing at 73 & Main and decorations around town, it’s nothing short of charming.
