Jiggy With the Piggy 2024

We are celebrating 10 years of Jiggy with the Piggy! The festival will return in 2024 for its 10th year with the smells and tastes of barbeque and fun for the entire family. Make plans now to join us May 2 – May 5, in downtown Kannapolis.
Country Music Superstar Craig Morgan will help us celebrate our 10th Anniversary with a free concert, Friday, May 3, on the North Carolina Research Campus Horseshoe.
Jiggy is one of the largest sanctioned events by the Kansas City Barbeque Society and once again we will host over 50 barbeque competition teams who compete for top bragging rights and prize money.
The festival, which has been named a Top 20 Event by the Southeast Tourism Society, will have more than 100 arts & crafts vendors, concerts, a 5K walk/run, fireworks and a People’s Choice pork tasting competition and an exciting kid’s zone.
We will host over 50 barbeque competition teams from across the U.S. to compete for top bragging rights and prize money. Jiggy continues to be one of the largest sanctioned events by the Kansas City Barbeque Society in the United States.
Each year, you can taste the competing team’s cooking expertise by purchasing a $10 ticket for the People’s Choice Pork Tasting Contest. You will receive ten samples of pork and then cast your vote for the best one.
The Jiggy with the Piggy Festival, which has earned the recognition of being a Top 20 Event by the Southeast Tourism Society, has more than 100 arts & crafts vendors, a free concert, the Jiggy 5K walk/run, and an exciting kid’s zone.
Kannapolis Firefighter’s Association will once again brought their cooking skills to the festival while selling barbeque to the public. We also added more barbeque and food vendors so you can fill up on many varieties of yummy festival food.
As always, this festival is free to the public. No pets or smoking please.
