Four Ways To Commemorate Memorial Day
This weekend, many will observe Memorial Day, often seen as the start of summer with picnics, BBQs, and gatherings with friends and family. However, it’s more than a day off and fun with friends. Memorial Day was established to honor and remember the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military, and we have found four activities happening around Cabarrus County.

Attendees are invited to gather on the lawn for the National Moment of Silence at 3pm followed by the sounding of Taps by local trumpet player Corey Gaston, a former United States Marine Corps musician. Ring the museum bell in memory of loved ones who served in the armed forces or died in service.
