Adair Style Studio has been outfitting fashion enthusiasts for over a decade with its collection of formal and casual apparel, accessories, gifts, and home accents. Founded by the talented and passionate Sydney Falls, a UNC Charlotte alum, this contemporary boutique has a unique and heartwarming story that truly sets it apart.

The Birth of Adair

“I basically started selling clothes at my sorority house,” Falls reminisces about her early days in the fashion industry. In 2011, Adair was born as an online boutique specializing in affordable yet distinctive women’s clothing and accessories.

Sydney and her dedicated team, which included her mother and friends willing to work for clothes, introduced Adair’s collection to the world through trunk shows and online sales. Sydney emphasizes the invaluable love and support she received, without which her journey might not have been possible.

While Sydney initially thought of pursuing a career as a fashion retail buyer, she quickly discovered her passion for the creative side of the industry. Her ultimate goal was to open a brick-and-mortar store right after finishing college, but life had different plans.

After graduation, she found herself in an 8-to-5 job in the event industry. However, this setback did not deter her from her dream. On August 9, 2013, Adair Style Studio opened its doors on Central Drive in Concord.

  • Sydney fondly recalls the day as “THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!”

Subsequently, she opened a second location on South Blvd in Charlotte in 2017, but that store had to close to make way for a 23-story office tower.

The Concord store moved to its current home in Afton Ridge in 2016, and she briefly tried a location in downtown Kannapolis but has decided to focus on the Concord store and a brand new South End (Charlotte) location which opened in June 2023.

  • Throughout the years and changes in location, Adair has remained steadfast in its commitment to providing unique, quality merchandise, and original pieces.

A Fresh Start

Adair celebrated a RE-GRAND OPENING at the Concord location on Oct 14th with the introduction of over 150 new arrivals, new lighting, and a fresh coat of paint, infusing the store with a fresh new feel. This move was a testament to Sydney’s commitment to staying true to her brand’s values and dedication to keeping her loyal customers excited.

  • For Sydney, working with customers is the most cherished aspect of her job. Beyond the allure of clothes, jewelry, and candles, she treasures the relationships she builds through Adair.

She sees her store as a hub for her clients to style all aspects of their lives, whether it’s their wardrobe, the gifts they give, the events they host, or the way they decorate their homes. Sydney aims to ensure that every facet of her customers’ lives reflects their unique personality and style.

More Than Fashion

Adair is more than just a clothing store; it’s a contemporary boutique that aspires to portray a lifestyle that mirrors its brand. Sydney and her team want to invite you beyond the store’s front door and share the things they love in all aspects of life.

Adair’s enduring love for its customers is unmistakable, and they hold a special place in their hearts. Sydney said, “People are what I love!” Her joy lies in being in the store, selling clothes, and getting to know the customers who walk through the door. This sentiment is shared by her dedicated team members, like Kerry, who has been with Adair since the very beginning. Kerry echoes, “It’s fun! It doesn’t feel like work.”
