Black History Keynote Speaker Jeffrey Blount

Emmy award winning director Jeffery Blount will be visiting our Kannapolis branch on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at 6pm to discuss his new book, “Mr. Jimmy from Around the Way.”  Jeffery had a 34-year career at NBC News, Meet the Press, and The Today Show.  He was also inducted into the Virginia Communications Hall of Fame in 2016.  The Friends of the Library will be selling discounted hardback copies of the book before the event.
