Concord 101 and Kannapolis 101 are unique educational opportunities for citizens to learn more about the behind-the-scenes workings of local government. You’ll learn about everything from the police and fire departments, to city planning, parks and recreation, and even finance and economic development. Kannapolis 101: a 9-week program that starts Sept 10th and continues each Tuesday until Oct 29th. Classes are held from 6–8:30pm at various city facilities. ⚾🏅 Cannon Ballers GM Holds Olympic-Themed Fundraiser

Matt Millward, the GM of the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers, is heading to Paris to cheer on Team USA in the Olympics while raising funds for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. Last year, the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers were awarded the 2023 Best Community Promotion or Event award at the MLB MiLB Fall Meetings in Las Vegas, for their Starry Night promotion event.
