This event promises to be a celebration of unity, understanding, and shared traditions.

The festival boasts captivating performances that spotlight culture through traditional singing, dancing, and musical performances as well as local vendors representing diverse countries that will be selling traditional art and crafts, many of them adorned in eye-catching traditional attire.

Booths representing countries from around the world will dot the festival grounds offering a unique opportunity to learn, engage, and experience the rich cultures that make up our community. And lastly, this festival offers the opportunity to tickle your taste buds with an array of international flavors.

Jitendra (Jeet) Hiremath, Chair of the Harrisburg MultiCultural Festival, shares the inspiration behind this event: β€œThere are very few forums where we try to bring our diverse communities together. Harrisburg is growing at a very fast pace, and people are coming from all over the world, and there isn’t one thing to bring them all together. We’re slowly detaching from our rich traditions, culture, and values. There are no avenues for people from different walks of life to connect and share their traditions and culture. The festival is going to change that. The Harrisburg MultiCultural Festival Teams endeavor to provide our diverse communities a platform to connect with each other, share their rich traditions, culture, and values through music, dance, art, food, and traditional games so as to embrace our similarities and differences.”

As the 5th Annual Harrisburg MultiCultural Festival approaches, mark your calendars for a day of connection, celebration, and unity. This event, presented and organized by the Harrisburg Arts, Culture & Heritage Committee with support from Harrisburg Parks and Recreation, is free to attend and a chance to come together, learn, and grow as we embrace the beauty of our diverse world.
