The Cabarrus Healthcare Foundation is gearing up for their 3rd annual ”Christmas in July” Toy Drive, benefiting the Jeff Gordon Children’s Center.

This annual toy drive aims to replenish toys for children receiving care in pediatric settings. Community members can drop off donations at Rooms To Go, 8520 Quay Rd., Ste. A, in front of Concord Mills from Monday to Saturday, 10am to 8pm, and Sunday from 12 to 6 pm.

The Jeff Gordon Children’s Center, located on the campus of Atrium Health Cabarrus, is a place of hope for children in need of specialized pediatric care. With 28 beds and a range of exceptional services, this remarkable facility offers support and treatment for pediatric patients from birth to 18 years old.

📅 The toy drive, which will run from July 16-29, serves as an opportunity for individuals to contribute to the well-being of these young children.

The toys collected during the drive play an essential role in providing comfort and distraction during testing and procedures, ultimately making the hospital experience more bearable. Additionally, the toys are shared with the three Atrium Health Emergency departments throughout Cabarrus County, ensuring that children in urgent need of care also receive a touch of joy during challenging times

  • Not only do the toys bring smiles to the faces of young patients, but they also offer an opportunity for families to give back to their community.

The Toy Drive actively encourages families and children to participate, creating a sense of involvement and empathy. By engaging children in the act of donating toys, parents can instill values of compassion and generosity from an early age.
